Caught the 6.40am flight from Edinburgh to Gatwick then the 11.50am flight from Gatwick to Las Vegas. Watched 3 films and we were well fed and watered! Landed half an hour late which wasn't bad as we took off 45 minutes late and caught the WAX then the SDX to the Wynn Hotel where we have 4 nights free of charge from playing the Wynn Slots app. We were assigned room 2453 on the 24th floor with a Strip view. It's a beautiful room and bathroom all controlled by Alexa if you want hands free! There are also controls on the wall. Unpacked then had a power nap as we had been awake for such a long time. Finished off our night at the slots with a few drinks.
Monday 26 August
Caught the Deuce to Excalibur for our free buffet breakfast courtesy of myvegas.
Caught the SDX to Bonneville Transit Center and transferred onto the 206 Westbound to go shopping. Visited the 99c store then Walmart where we bought various items. Caught the 206 bus back to Bonneville and bought our 15 day reduced fare bus tickets then caught the SDX back to the Wynn to relax as it's so hot today. Walked up to McDonald's for a bite to eat then spent the night playing slots.
Tuesday 27 August
Had breakfast then set off with the camcorder to film the Palazzo, Venetian and the Bellagio.
Then took the tram to the Park MGM and walked through NYNY and over to Excalibur where we took the tram to Mandalay Bay. We had a free dinner buffet there courtesy of myvegas.
Caught the SDX back to the Wynn Hotel and had a drink in our room to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. It was lovely watching all the lights on the Strip plus the Lake of Dreams whilst Alexa played music for us.
Wednesday 28th August
Had breakfast then a look round the Fashion Show Mall. Packed one suitcase and jumped on the SDX to the Downtown Grand and checked in. We have one night overlapping as originally we had only planned to have 3 free nights in the Wynn but changed it to 4 when we had earned enough gems on the app. Had a quick bite to eat in Subway then headed back to the Wynn, got changed and walked over to the Mirage to see the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil free courtesy of playing myvegas.
Thursday 29 August
Had breakfast then packed our other suitcase and caught the SDX to the Downtown Grand. Unpacked and settled in to our new room.
Had a 2 for 1 dinner buffet at Main Street Station (Las Vegas Advisor Members reward coupon book - $15.49 total paid) then played slots at night.
Friday 30 August
Had breakfast then caught the SDX to the Fashion Show Mall and then the 203 bus to the Las Vegas Advisor office and bought 2 American Casino Guides from Nicole on reception. We chatted for ages with her then walked down past the Rio and caught the 202 to Ellis Island where we played $10 and got $10 free play (Las Vegas Advisor Members Reward coupon book - $31.78 profit). Walked back up to the Strip via Ballys and Paris and caught the SDX back to Fremont Street and had a free dinner in Binions cafe courtesy of playing their app. Played slots at night.
Saturday 31 August
Had breakfast then caught the SDX to the North Premium shopping outlets to look for a Kate Spade purse (wallet) that our sister-in-law had asked us to get for her. We took some photos of some of them and sent them to her to see which one she liked. We then what's apped her and chatted for a while and we said we would go to the South outlets tomorrow to see what they had. Returned to Fremont Street and had a free dinner in Binions Deli courtesy of playing their app. Played slots at night and we were in profit for a change.
Sunday 1 September
Had breakfast then caught the SDX to Hooters where we played $10 and received $10 free play (American Casino Guide - profit $28.92). We then caught the SDX to the South Premium shopping outlets to see if we could see any different Kate Spade wallets and after what's apping our sister-in-law we bought her the one that she wanted. Caught the SDX back to Fremont Street and had a free dinner in Binions cafe courtesy of playing their app. Played slots in the casino at night.
Monday 2 September
Had breakfast then caught the BHX to Sam's Town to meet up with friends who live in Las Vegas and chatted with them for a few hours before returning to Fremont Street. Had a bite to eat at Subway and played slots in the casino at night.
Tuesday 3 September
Had breakfast then caught the WAX to Excalibur where we both redeemed a $25 konami free play courtesy of playing myvegas (profit $48.68). Walked to Park MGM and caught the tram to the Bellagio then over the walkway to catch the 202 bus to the Palms where we had a 2 for 1 lunch buffet (Las Vegas Advisor Members reward coupon book - $12.98 total paid) and took a photo of Damien Hurst's artwork of the shark in formaldehyde. He also designed the bar over which it is suspended.
We then walked over to the Gold Coast and we each played $10 and received $10 free play (Las Vegas Advisor Members reward coupon book - profit $19.46). Caught the 202 then the Deuce back to our hotel. Played slots in the casino at night.
Wednesday 4 September
Had breakfast then caught the SDX and the SX over to the Palace Station where we took part in the seniors slot tournament (no luck) then went to their new cinema to see Toy Story 4 - there was only 4 of us in the screening. We paid $4 each as it was seniors day.

Thursday 5 September

We then walked up to Ballys and booked tickets to Xavier Mortimer's magic show for tomorrow night. Had our dinner in Magnolia's in the Four Queens for free courtesy of playing the Four Queens app.

Friday 6 September
Had a terrible night's sleep after the young people in the adjacent rooms decided to have a party at 3am. We phoned security and they came up and told them to turn the music off but their loud voices and banging of doors continued for a while longer before they decided to go out. They had been noisy the night before too but not as bad and not as late. Had breakfast and after a wander down Fremont Street we returned to have a sleep as we were exhausted after our broken night's sleep. Visited registration to see if they could move us to a different room. We were on our way out to eat then see our show so the girl said that a room would be available for us tomorrow morning. We ate in Binions Deli courtesy of playing their app and then caught the SDX to the Bellagio and walked up through Paris to Ballys. We enjoyed the show which was based on the magical dream of Xavier Mortimer. There was a bit of magic, some mind reading, acrobatics and some Cirque du Soleil as he used to work with them. Played slots for a little while in the Downtown Grand casino but the music the DJ was playing was so awful and so loud that we didn't last long.
Saturday 7 September
It was another noisy night in the rooms next door with doors banging and loud voices so after breakfast we moved rooms. Our new room is identical only 3 floors lower and hopefully much quieter. We each redeemed $10 free play in the Plaza from the Where magazine (profit $13.70) then caught the HDX to the Walmart and 99c store at Sunset then walked to Sunset Station where we had a 2 for 1 late lunch buffet (Las Vegas Advisor Members Reward coupon book - $9.72 total paid). Caught the HDX back to our hotel. Played slots in Binions as there was a DJ playing thumping music in our hotel again.
Sunday 8 September
Had a good night's sleep for a change then wandered down Fremont Street after breakfast. Spent time at the pool as it's slightly cooler today but no chance of listening to my music as there is a DJ playing loud thumping music.
Went for a walk then had our dinner in Magnolia's in the Four Queens for free courtesy of playing their app. Played slots in Binions at night.
Monday 9 September
Had breakfast then caught the SDX to the Cosmopolitan to look round and film what was new as there were quite a few new restaurants etc.
Walked through Crystals shops
and into Aria to see what decorations they had up - none - which was very unusual.
Crossed over to Planet Hollywood and walked through the Miracle Mile shops to see what was new there - 2 new restaurants called Ocean Bar One and Flights.
Had our dinner in Binions cafe for free courtesy of playing their app. Jim had the Iowa Pork chop and I had fish and chips.

Tuesday 10 September
Had breakfast then spent time at the pool as the temperature has dropped a bit (now 32°). Caught the SDX to Sahara then the SX to the Ross shop and TJ Maxx at Decatur for a little look round. Caught the SX back to the Palace Station and had a 2 for 1 late lunch (American Casino Guide coupon - total $10.88 paid).
Met up with a girl from the Las Vegas Fans UK Facebook forum when she arrived to stay at the 4 Queens and gave her some bottles of water and vodka that we had left over. We chatted for a little while and then showed them to the lift to take them up to their room. Played slots in Binions.
Wednesday 11 September
Had breakfast then spent time at the pool as it's a good bit cooler today. We even had a game of throwing bean bags! Packed our suitcases, checked in on-line for our flights tomorrow then had dinner in Binions cafe one last time for free courtesy of playing their app. I had the Downtown tuna sandwich and Jim had the Iowa Pork Chop again.
When we walked back to the Downtown Grand the local fire crew were commemorating 9/11 with fire engines from yesteryear and they hoisted a huge American flag.

Thursday 12 September
Had a 2 for 1 breakfast buffet in Main Street Station (American Casino Guide coupon - $10.88 total paid). Checked out and caught the WAX bus to the airport.
Our flight was on time and as I couldn't sleep I watched 3 films. Got through passport control and couldn't find our way to our next flight due to lack of directions. Had to ask at the BA desk and eventually found our way to our departure gate. We were taken to our plane on a bus which seemed to travel for miles before we eventually came to the most far away part of the airport where our plane was decked out in the old BEA livery to celebrate British Airways 100 year anniversary.
Final thoughts:-
Wynn Hotel is absolutely beautiful and we hope to have 8 free nights there when we go back to Las Vegas next April.
We had 6 free meals in Binions and 2 free meals in the 4 Queens with playing their free apps so that definitely helped with the food bill.
We enjoy playing slots at night but don't gamble big so we don't win big - we did have a few good spins and bonuses though.
